So, it’s July already. How the hell did we get here? This seems like the longest, slowest, and yet fastest year ever! How are you guys doing? These are tough times for some of us, but if you look hard enough, you can find something to make you feel good at least once a day. There’s an awful lot of hate and unrest out there right now, but if you want to see some good, you can find it. I struggle on a daily basis out there on social media these days, but just as I’m about to call it quits, I finally see a post about someone somewhere doing something to make someone else’s life better and that makes me feel good.

It’s hot here, but then we already covered that it’s July, right? Have you been able to travel at all? We haven’t, which is crazy for us. We’re on the road all the time, and this sitting at home business gets boring! On the other hand, we’ve had some good family time and that’s been pretty awesome for this mom.

I’m doing a lot of reading, and I’m writing. I have several projects in mind for you guys, but I took a detour to write something for Christmas. And then, true to my ADHD brain, I took two more Christmas detours and I’m now writing something else for you guys. This one will be short and sexy, maybe just an e-book for now, and if I get time, I’ll take a look at the other Christmas ideas: one being a stand-alone novella and the other a Christmas romance tied into a romance trilogy. But keep in mind, I’m still writing under my real name, too, so that’s a lot of balls in the air right now. And did I mention that I’m not super coordinated?!

In the meantime, I hope you are checking in on the site here now and then. I’m trying to switch the graphics up from time to time; you can usually tell what I’m drinking based on the pictures posted. Right now, I’m craving a cucumber gimlet with a touch of basil. I’m also trying to post little tidbits of fiction here on the blog. Not enough to make you cheer for any characters, but maybe to whet your whistle and give you an idea of what my writing style is like. Some of those tidbits are old and repurposed, and some of them are the result of new off the cuff timed writing exercises.

If you’re a blogger or bookstagrammer and you’re interested in review copies or learning about upcoming releases, give me a holler!

I’m reading Priscilla Oliveras’ Island Affair right now—needed a vacation in a book! How about you guys? Whatcha reading?

Keep cool and take care!
